The first images of ‘Karate Kid: Legends‘, new film from the legendary martial arts franchise that will hit theaters on May 30, 2025. In the film we will see Ralph Macchio reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso, while Jackie Chan will once again play Mr. Han, and Ben Wang will play the main protagonist, Li Fong.
In this new story we will see Li Fong, a boy originally from Beijing, as he moves to New York City with his mother, played by Ming-Na Wen. He then begins to get into trouble at school and finds himself dragged into fights that will make him intensify his karate training. This is how its official synopsis reads:
When a new friend needs his help, Li participates in a karate championship, but his skills alone are not enough. Li’s kung fu master, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), recruits the original Karate Kid Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) to help him, and Li learns a new way to fight, merging his two styles into one for the Ultimate martial arts showdown.
Jonathan Entwistle, creator of ‘The End of the F***ing World’ y ‘This shit is beyond me’directs the film from a script by Rob Lieber. For her part, Karen Rosenfelt is the producer of this film, which will be set after the events of the successful Netflix series, ‘Cobra Kai’. Rounding out the cast will be franchise newcomers Joshua Jackson, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Sadie Stanley, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff and Jennifer-Lyn Christie.
