The movie Mlle Ankle bootvery well received by Quebec critics upon its recent release, is now standing out internationally: the family film can now be found in the official selection (out of competition) of the Alpe d’Huez Film Festival, which will take place from January 13 to 19.

Part of the team Mlle Ankle boot will travel to Isère, where the coveted festival is being held, to accompany the film during its presentation. After being presented in Germany and Japan, the feature film continues its journey outside Quebec.
Starring Antoine Bertrand and the young Marguerite Laurence, for her first film role, Mlle Ankle boot was written by Dominic James and directed by Yan Lanouette Turgeon. Inspired by the 1986 tale Bach and Bottinethe film addresses the relationship between Philippe, an opera composer suffering from blank page syndrome, and his niece Simone, a rebellious and endearing orphan.
The jury of 28e Next year, Festival de l’Alpe d’Huez will be composed of Gustave Kervern (director and actor), Noémie Saglio (director and screenwriter), Izïa Higelin (actress and singer), Tom Leeb (actor, comedian and singer), as well as that of Quebec director Ken Scott. The event will be chaired by actress and director Elsa Zylberstein.
Released at the end of November, still showing in 60 theaters, Mlle Ankle boot now has revenues of $700,000.
