The Orléans Museum offers a unique immersion in the world of the oceans with “Odyssey, from stories to the abyss”. An interactive and artistic exhibition for all audiences, visible until October 5, 2025.
The Orléans Museum for Biodiversity and the Environment (MOBE) presents a unique immersive experience with the exhibition “Odyssey, from stories to the abyss”highlighting ocean issues through an innovative narrative and artistic journey.
A dive into the heart of the oceans from Orléans
The MOBE, renovated three years ago, unveils its first major temporary exhibition, visible until October 5, 2025. Designed as an immersive journey, “Odyssey, from stories to the abyss” offers to discover the North Atlantic through the eyes of three characters, two humans and a turtle. This story guides visitors along the ocean currents, exploring varied ecosystems while raising awareness of global environmental issues such as climate and biodiversity.
A way of including Orléans, far from the coast, in the reflection on the preservation of the oceans, remembering that the Loire flows into the Atlantic.
An exhibition designed for everyone
With a visual style inspired by video games and animated films, the exhibition breaks the traditional codes of museums to appeal to a wide audience. This graphic approach, modern and accessible, is particularly aimed at younger generations but also at visitors of all ages, whether novices or science enthusiasts. The MOBE highlights multiple mediation, adapted to all levels of curiosity.
The art of raising awareness
The exhibition, included in the entry price (and free for those under 26), invites us to reflect on the crucial role of the oceans, in direct connection with everyday life. The rare specimens from the MOBE reserves and immersive devices offer a unique opportunity to learn while being amazed. Visitors are thus immersed in an educational and poetic adventure, echoing the MOBE’s transmission mission.
