There are Christmas classics that we don’t come to question here, but there are also new things that deserve to be known.
More “Entertainment”
Yes, we realize that the old classics are the best. Yes, no new Christmas movie can match Mom I missed the plane, Miracle on 34th Street or even Edward Scissorhands.
But every once in a while, a little change is good. That’s why here we’re bringing you six new movies you can watch this holiday season to get you in the Christmas spirit.
Meet Me Next Christmas
Layla (Christina Milian) absolutely must find a ticket to the sold-out Pentatonix concert (an a cappella singing group that actually exists). She actually promised a man she met a year ago that they would meet again there. Her quest takes her across all of New York. But could Teddy, who helps her in her mission, also turn out to be the man of her dreams?

Red One
If you prefer an action-packed vacation and something in the vein of Die HardRed One is the right choice. The story follows the head of security at the North Pole (Dwayne Johnson), who must team up with the world’s most famous bounty hunter (Chris Evans). But the two can’t stand each other. They must nevertheless complete their mission to find the kidnapped Santa Claus.
The film is currently in theaters.
An Almost Christmas Story
A fun film for the whole family. This animated short film tells the story of a young owl injured and stuck in a tree. The problem is that it is precisely this tree that is being cut down and destined to become the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza in New York. While trying to get out of town, she befriends a lost girl. Together, they embark on a journey home.

Our Little Secret
It’s the #1 Christmas movie of 2024 on Netflix. Avery (Lindsay Lohan) celebrates Christmas with her boyfriend and his family for the first time. She then discovers that the boyfriend’s sister is in a relationship with her ex. A romantic comedy that lacks a little humor, but which will delight fans of the actress.
Available on: Netflix
Hot Frosty
Anyone who has ever seen Hot Frosty are probably wondering how many weed gummies the writers consumed while writing the script. It’s the story of a charming café owner (Lacey Chabert), whose husband died young and whose pretty house is falling into disrepair. She is given a magic scarf by kind old people. When she puts it on a particularly statuesque snowman (a stripper type with shoulder-length hair), he comes to life and begins repairing the pretty house. The question is whether it will fall victim to heating torture and melt or whether a Christmas miracle will occur.

A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter
Pop star Sabrina Carpenter brings the magic of Christmas in musical form. In this Netflix special, she sings with other artists not only her album Fruitcake (2023), but also covers of cult Christmas songs. She promises unexpected duets and fun guest appearances.
