A white march in tribute to Loana left this December 15 in the afternoon from Place Alsace-Lorraine in Sedan. Its organizer Marine Tulpin, member of the family of the little girl found dead in a cellar in the Ardennes town in October 2023, wanted to be remembered of are “little angel gone too soon”. Loana would have been 12 years old on December 11.
A release of white balloons in front of the town hall, to “show Loana that we have not forgotten her”
In the procession of a a few hundred peoplerelatives and anonymous people mixed together. They wanted to show their unwavering support for Loana’s family, still very affected by the tragedy. Everyone also had a thought for his mother, who died of a heart attack last June.
On the sidelines of the procession, several participants gathered on rue Saint-Michel, opposite the cellar where Loana’s body was found on October 18, 2023. Among them, certain neighbors from the Lac district, where the young schoolgirl was known as a child “very kind and very sociable”.
The procession ended in front of the town hall. The organizers of the march distributed small pieces of paper so that the Sedan residents present could write words on them for Loana. They then hung them on white balloons which were released shortly before 4 p.m.
Where is the investigation?
The investigation to identify the perpetrator of the alleged rape and murder of Loana is still ongoing. The main suspect, a man in his fiftiesdivorced father of 6 children, is still under investigation. According to the Reims public prosecutor’s office, he probably acted alone.
