Artus and his traveling companions go to a particularly green region. Perhaps you recognized the Vercors mountains and the Isère valley. It is in fact in this rural landscape that was filmed A little something extra. The lodge where the colony goes, namely the central location of the plot, is located in the locality of Gontier in Izeron. But before going to this charming place, the vacationers and their companions left Valencia. It is in this town in Drôme that the fictional home named “The Lilacs“.

The difficulties encountered by Artus in preparing the film

During the preparation of his very first film, Artus was aware that integrating people with disabilities would pose challenges. And in fact, for the press kit, the director acknowledges: “We encountered a lot of rejection.” Certain reactions surprised him a lot, and not necessarily in a good way. He explains: “We've heard some completely crazy sentences – 'well, that's okay, we know they exist, we're not going to show them either'… It's distressing. It talks about the fear, the rejection that disability arouses, today today again.” However, Artus did not let himself be discouraged by the opinions of others. On the contrary, Paulo's interpreter used the negative comments as a source of motivation.
