While the animated film The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim releases this Wednesday in cinemas in our country, the director of the trilogy Lord of the Rings and that of Hobbit spoke about this new feature film.
The Rohirrim War: is the film dubbed by Peter Jackson?
Since its announcement, the film The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim intrigues, fascinates and divides. If some find that an animated feature film with a Japanese style is not adapted to the fantasy universe of Middle-earth, others see in this film a breath of fresh air and a daring proposition which allows you to enrich the adaptations of the works of JRR Tolkien to the cinema. With a story set 183 years before the events of Lord of the Rings: The Two TowersKenji Kamiyama takes us to the legendary king of Rohan Helm Hammerhand for an epic adventure, before he gave his name to the famous Helm's Deep.
If expectations are high for this new film dedicated to Middle Earth and especially after having had in recent years the very controversial series The Rings of Power – which, let's not lie, does not have much respect for the universe of JRR Tolkien – fans are entitled to wonder what the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind the two trilogies of the Lord of the Rings a you Hobbit. A few days ago during the world premiere of the film, Peter Jackson spoke in these terms:
From the first minutes of the film, it was magnificent. We are completely absorbed by the escalation of the stakes until the climax.
Of course, everyone who saw The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 20 years ago know about Helm's Deep. This work not only tells the story of King Helm Hammerhand, it also expands on why Helm's Deep is called that. It is truly extraordinary to have been able to develop in this feature film such an important monument of Lord of the Rings.
These words from Master Jackson make your mouth water and we will still have to wait until Wednesday – in addition to the previews – before being able to discover this new film from the universe of JRR Tolkien.
