CIt is clearly not always in old pots that we make the best jams. In her latest comedy, in theaters since June 26, Laurence Arné (to whom we owe in particular The Little Family, second part of Welcome to the Ch’tis) plays the mother of a blended family, determined but a little overwhelmed, and not very helped by her husband, played by Dany Boon. A hackneyed formula in cinema (and on TV) which does not always convince.

The story will surely ring a bell. Justine (Laurence Arné) is a blended family with Ludo (Dany Boon) and their two respective sons, Henri, a somewhat unbearable teenager in crisis, and Joseph, a jovial boy of about ten. But the mood is not at its best and Justine, ready to do anything for the four of them to form a united family, sees only one solution to remedy this problem: a week’s vacation on the Atlantic coast aboard the family caravan.

This was without counting on major financial problems, which the mother is quick to hide from the others, which complicate the project in progress. She will then have to work hard to ensure that their stay goes as planned. Overall, nothing very new, so, as you will have understood.
