Want to do a huge Star Wars marathon? It's possible, but you still need to know where to start. That's good, a fan has prepared the ideal roadmap to know everything from A to Z about Star Wars.
An ultra-dense saga
Star Wars is a true pillar of pop culture and science fiction. What was initially just a trilogy of films quickly became one of the most powerful empires, with other trilogies of course, but also comics, video games, live-action or animated television series. …To tell the truth, this jungle is quickly difficult to decipher, a bit like the MCU, some will say. Which is not a coincidence, especially since Disney bought both entities.
Anyway, if you want to tackle a Star Wars marathon on television, but you don't know what to watch or where to start, a fan named Alex has prepared a completely chronological timeline, of the oldest story within the universe at the most recent. In total, there are 45 films and seasons of series on the program, enough to keep you busy for several weeks (unless you are very productive, you never know).
A busy schedule
And if you thought that the future of Star Wars was going to calm down, it was obviously without counting on Disney and its insatiable appetite which has already planned everything. On December 3, for example, we will be entitled to Skeleton Crew, a Les Gonnies-style series with Jude Law as the main character, directly piloted by Jon Watts (the last Spider-Man trilogy). In the future, we will also have a season 2 for Andor and Ahsoka, as well as a season 4 for The Mandalorian. On the animation side, we can count on A Droid Stoty, worn on R2-D2 and C-3PO.
Then, there is a whole slew of feature films in the works: a film The Mandalorian & Grogu with Sigourney Weaver, a new trilogy directed by Simon Kinberg (X-Men Dark Phoenix, 355), a new film which will take place 15 years after Episode IX with the return of Rey Skywalker and even another which should conclude the narrative arc bringing together The Mandolarian, Ahsoka and The Book of Boba Fett. That's not all, since there is yet another project by James Mangold (Logan, the last Indiana Jones) which will focus on the dawn of the Jedi, while Taika Waititi (Thor Ragnarok) and Shawn Levy (Real Steel ) will also have their own project. And there is even a new trilogy which will be entrusted to Rian Johnson, author of Episode VIII. Does it seem infinite to you?
