The Canadian actress returns to the cinema after a long journey through the desert. She stands out with a remarkable performance in a dramatic film whose trailer has just been revealed.

The former star ofAlert to Malibu intends to remind us of this with The Last Showgirla dramatic feature film acclaimed by early critics, the trailer for which was unveiled on Thursday, November 14.
Signed Gia Coppola, granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola and niece of Sofia Coppola, The Last Showgirl follows a fifty-year-old Las Vegas revue leader who finds herself destitute when her show is suddenly shut down. Pamela Anderson opposite Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista and Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher's daughter.
The Last Showgirl has been presented at several festivals in recent months, where it has been praised. The feature film notably received the Special Jury Prize at the San Sebastian International Film Festival and Pamela Anderson won the Golden Eye Award at the Zurich Film Festival. The feature film was also screened at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival, TIFF, last September.
“The role of his life”
The specialized press was also very complimentary of Pamela Anderson's performance. The AU Review hailed “the rebirth of an actress”, IndieWire calls it “the role of a lifetime” and Variety mentions rumors of a nomination for the Oscar for best actress.
This foray into cinema by the Canadian actress is the first since her brief appearances in 2017 in the film Alert to Malibuadapted from the series which made him known in the 1990s, then in the French comedy Nicky Larson and the scent of Cupid in 2019. It coincides with a return to favor for Pamela Anderson, who at 56 years old is multiplying her projects after a long crossing of the desert.
