hulk humiliated in new marvel comics

Hulk is renowned for being one of Marvel’s most powerful superheroes. Depending on the versions of the character, he may be able to face classic supervillains, or cosmic and interdimensional entities, depending on what suits the writers. But in either case, he is extremely durable, and it is very difficult to beat him fair and square.

However, a superhero and former Avenger from the Marvel universe achieved it with almost no effort. How is it possible ? Thanks to magic, which probably makes him even more powerful than Doctor Strange in this area. We are talking here about Doctor Voodoo (or Doctor Voodoo, in French), who literally humiliated Hulk in the space of a few seconds.

doctor voodoo, more powerful than doctor strange?

It’s in the comics Incredible Hulk (2023) #12, published a few days ago, that the Hulk suffered a crushing defeat against Doctor Voodoo, while on his way to the Strange Academy. It is a school of wizards founded by Doctor Strange, but Bruce Banner realizes when he arrives there that Voodoo is now the master of the place, as Sorcerer Supreme. This then provokes immense rage in him. But no sooner has he transformed into the Hulk than Doctor Voodoo uses his magic to force him back into human form, in immense pain. Subsequently, he confronts his opponent: “why come here? Why seek Doctor Strange? To destroy him, like you destroy everything you touch?”.

During this short confrontation, which can hardly be described as a fight, Doctor Voodoo has proven himself to be an extremely powerful sorcerer with a mastery of magic. He can even be considered more powerful than Doctor Strange, who has already been defeated by Hulk in the past. Created by Stan Lee, Len Wein and designer John Romita Sr in 1973, he is better known under the name of Brother Voodoo: his name Doctor Voodoo was given to him when he replaced Stephen Strange as Sorcerer Supreme in The New Avengers #53. He was also briefly a member of the Avengers and the New Avengers.

In short, it is better not to look too hard for him, especially since he is capable of hiding, disorienting his adversaries, or even influencing them thanks to voodoo dolls and his mystical power which he concentrates in the medallion that ‘he is wearing.
