Hello all !

Jon Wattsshowrunner on this show, talks to Collider an outing “around” Christmas. We do not have any further details at this time. Initially, the series could have been released last year (as a reminder, filming ended in early 2023), but the actors’ and writers’ strike in Hollywood disrupted the schedule.

Still on Collider’s side, we learn today that in addition to modern techniques such as the use of the now famous Volume, Watts used more “traditional” methods. In fact, he even brought out of retirement Phil Tippett, former head of the animation department at ILM, legend of the rise of special effects, to produce stop-motion shots and even someone else (unspecified) to do matte painting (placing real paintings in front of the camera for the sets). A mix of Starwarsian know-how!

The showrunner takes the opportunity to recall the synopsis of his series:

The show follows a group of children who discover a mysterious secret on their planet and then accidentally get lost in the galaxy. We follow their story as they seek to return home.

Although the series wishes to highlight the story of these children, it is not necessarily a series completely intended for this age group according to Jude Law, star actor on the show. Moreover, regarding his own character, the actor specifies that he would be “contradictory” and likes to see him as a sort of Han Solo.

Other recent news, the actress Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin) confirms his presence in the series and announces that he loved playing with a cast of children.

We talk about all this on the dedicated forum to find below!
