Before the release of “Paddington in Peru” in 2025, StudioCanal is releasing the first two opuses in cinemas this summer. Spend the summer in London with Andean Bear and the Brown family.

10 years ago, little Paddington Bear came to life on the big screen under the camera of Paul King. The British icon born in 1958 under the pen of Michael Bond has already had two cinematographic adventures: Paddington released in 2014 and its sequel released in 2017.

These films were commercial and critical successes with more than $500 million in worldwide box office revenue ($280 million for the first film and $227 million for its sequel), 4.7 million admissions in French cinemas, a rating of 97% and 99% on Rotten Tomatoes and 4 stars (press and spectators) on AlloCiné.

Spend the summer with Paddington

While a third adventure entitled Paddington in Peru is planned in our cinemas for February 5, 2025, StudioCanal has just announced that the first two feature films will be released in cinemas. Paddington with Nicole Kidman in the role of the main antagonist will be released in cinemas on July 24 while Paddington 2 with Hugh Grant as the villain will be visible in cinemas from August 7.

The ideal opportunity for children to rediscover these two funny, sweet and touching films on the big screen before witnessing the return of the spectacled bear to the jungle of Peru in 2025.

What we know about Paddington in Peru

Paddington in Peru will be the first film in the saga directed by a filmmaker other than Paul King (who nevertheless produced the feature film), to whom we owe the great success Wonka with Timothée Chalamet. It is the British Dougal Wilson, who is at work this time.

In this opus, the bear returns to Peru to visit his aunt Lucy, at the House of Retired Bears. Ben Whishaw lends his voice to the bear again in the original version (and Guillaume Gallienne will probably be back in VF), Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer (who replaces Sally Hawkins), Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin will reprise the roles of the members of the Brown family and will be surrounded by Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas.

Paddington 3 will be visible in our theaters from February 5, 2025.
