According to an official press release, A fantasy in the battle will tell the lives and experiences of several members of the anti-terrorist section of the Guardia Civil in the historical, political and social context of the 1990s and 2000s. The narrative follows the story of Amaia, a young woman from the Civil Guard who passes over a decade working as an undercover agent within the notorious Basque terrorist organization ETA, aiming to locate the group’s hideouts in the south of France. Interviewed by Netflix during the first day of filming, the director and screenwriter of the film, Agustín Díaz Yanes, returned to the origins of this new adventure.
