explanations on the surprise at the end, which announces a big Canal+ project

The first season of Fever ended this April 15 on Canal+ and the finale contained a cameo which prepares for a crossover with another French series from Canal+.

After a colorful first season, the finale of Fever was broadcast by Canal+ this Monday April 15. Basing its plot in the world of football and its media, the series started from the following pitch: footballer Fodé Thiam violently headbutts his coach and calls him a “dirty toubab”, which means “white” in Wolof. The media storm can then begin.

Fever was created by Eric Benzekri then directed by Ziad Doueiri and quickly attracted a fairly large audience. This is not the first attempt by Benzekri and Doueiri, who already occupied the same positions when they worked together on Black Baron, the thriller/political series with Kad Merad. And as we saw in the finale of Fever, the two productions have even more in common than we thought.

Two French series face to face:

Fever and Black Baron for a future crossover?

Indeed, we can see during the last minutes of the final episode of Fever Sam Berger (played by Nina Meurisse in the series) being contacted by the President of the Republic who is none other than Philippe Rickwaert, the main character of Black Baron played by Kad Merad. This cameo therefore serves as a return for Rickwaert, whowe hadn’t seen since the conclusion of season 3 of Black Baron in February 2020.

From there to imagining a season 4 for the political fiction series, there would only be one step. Unfortunately, Canal+ has not explicitly announced a sequel, at least not in the form of a new season. The channel actually sent a press release on the sidelines of the finale of Feverannouncinganother series project aiming to bring together both the characters of Fever and those of Black Baron.

Canal+ thus promises us a completely unexpected crossover between these two series, but which now seems logical knowing that they come from the same creators. Everything was surely planned from the start, and there is no doubt that this cameo as well as the announcement of this joint sequel must have surprised more than one. However, it remains to be seen which characters of Fever and of Black Baron we will be able to find in their crossover, while remaining patient sinceno information regarding the release of this new series has yet been revealedee.
