Barcelona's post-season testing marked the start of the new MotoGP season. The drivers and teams took advantage of this opportunity to discover the new features for 2025 and refine their settings.
The 2025 preseason officially began with
IRTA test day on the Montmelò circuit, an event marking the transition between the 2024 season and the year to come. After a historic coronation of
Jorge Martin as 2024 MotoGP world champion, eyes now turn to the preparations for the next campaign, and the first impressions of the riders with their new machines.
Among the major new features of these tests, Marc
Marquez made his debut with the Ducati
Factory. After a season marked by his passage from
Honda has DucatiMarquez tested a range of motorcycles, including the GP23, GP24 and the all-new GP25. “The riders had three bikes available, Marc with the 23, 24 and 25, and Bagnaia with a mix of 24, hybrid 24/25 and 25,” explained the Ducati team manager,

One of the highlights of the tests was the introduction
a new Brembo braking system. Used by Marquez et Bagnaiathe new braking system, coupled with larger pads, promises to offer greater heat resistance and more precise braking, giving riders greater control of their machine in extreme conditions.
The testing day also saw Alex
Marquezwith the Ducati Gresini Racingsign the best time of the day in 1'38.803, ahead of
Quarterly et Bagnaia of respectively 0.396s and 0.595s. Marquezafter his debut with Ducatiwas impressive, finishing just 0.056 seconds behind his next year teammate,
Pecco Bagnaia.
