David Veillon has come a long way, after a very serious road accident in 1992. Since then, he has had a deep desire: “to pass on my passion for motorcycles. Even if I was never a very great rider, his meeting in 2012 with Alex Criville, the Moto GP 500 world champion in 1999, was decisive. Four years later, the fifty-year-old created DVS Motorsport Simulation in , a company which “has three GP simulators. We also make them. Until the beginning of 2024 they were produced and assembled in Spain. I joined the CKU company. I therefore participate in the manufacturing and development of simulators. »

These “were designed to refine piloting and all body-related techniques. It is a bodybuilding machine specially designed for pilots, but also to strengthen their self-confidence. They are used in different championships and by motorcycle GP riders.”

Democratized use

At the same time, David Veillon has developed a method based on learning, improvement and performance in motorcycle riding, but also on prevention. This is to make people aware of good driving in order to increase their safety both on the road and on the track: “We have democratized the use of our simulators, which are not only aimed at professional drivers”, when well even a simulator costs around 30,000 euros, can work 24 hours a day and has nothing to do with arcade games.

For six years, David Veillon has also trained driver Lucie Boudesseul, now based in La Rochelle: “I am her trackside analyst. I developed my own mental coaching method following my experience as a road accident victim. To make the impossible possible. » At the edge of the track, the Rochelais pays attention to the behavior of the motorcycle and the rider, “telemetry is not everything”. Finally, DVS Motorsport Simulation is also working on the development of a simulator for driving schools.
