Who, Jorge Martín (Ducati-Pramac) or Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) will be crowned 2024 MotoGP world champion? Between the Spaniard and the Italian, the fight is intense but there are only five Grand Prix left to determine the winner. In Indonesia last week, the Ducati-Pramac rider took the advantage over his Italian rival. On the Twin Ring Motegi circuit (Japan), this Sunday, October 6, Martín will start with the status of favorite, after having won last year. But Francesco Bagnaia, reigning world champion and already winner of 7 Grands Prix this season, has not said his last word. The circuit, the TV program or even the favorites for the races… Here is everything you need to know for the Japanese Grand Prix, from Friday October 4 to Sunday October 6.

The favorites for the Japanese Grand Prix

For the Spaniard Jorge Martín, all the lights are green. Leader of the riders’ ranking, winner last week in Indonesia, and above all ultra-dominant last year on this Twin Ring Motegi circuit, by taking pole position and winning the sprint race and the main race, the Ducati rider -Pramac appears to be the big favorite for victory this year. His main competitor could be the Italian Francesco Bagnaia, who has not said his last word to the title of 2024 world champion (only 21 points separate the two drivers in the standings). We will also have to be wary of the Australian Jack Miller, winner in 2022, and the Spaniard Marc Márquez, triple winner in Motegi.
