On Monday (October 14th), many people in the capital region rubbed their eyes in amazement. The weather in Berlin and Brandenburg was really nice, especially in the morning.

Apparently the weather experts have also been infected by these rays of sunshine, because in a current Germany-wide weather forecast for autumn, Dominik Jung speaks of October warmth and temperatures of up to 20 degrees Celsius.

But the weather in Berlin isn’t quite there yet. The day also starts fresh on Tuesday (October 15th). In some regions of Brandenburg there are frosty temperatures of up to -4 degrees Celsius and in places there is fog in the early morning hours – with visibility below 150 meters.

According to the German Weather Service (DWD), it will be clear to cloudy during the day and will probably stay dry. All of this at maximum temperatures of up to 13 degrees Celsius.

Is Indian Summer now coming to Berlin and Brandenburg?

However, if you were out in the fresh air on the way home from work yesterday, you might have noticed that you start to sweat pretty quickly in a thick jacket. Apparently the sun really makes itself felt again in the middle of October. In other words: “Indian Summer” is just around the corner.
