Raja Sports Club is preparing to announce the deal of the Portuguese coach, Ricardo Sabinto, to succeed the Bosnian, Rosmir Cvejko, who was separated from him due to poor results with him.

Raja’s contract with the Portuguese coach arouses the curiosity of Al-Akhdar supporters to learn about Sabinto’s career, before joining their team.

Sabinto’s beginnings in football were as a player, playing alongside the clubs Sporting Lisbon, Real Sociedad and Standard de Liège of Belgium. He also had the opportunity to play for the Portuguese national team, before ending his career by retiring from the game.

Meanwhile, Ricardo left his mark on the beginning of his career as a coach, in the 2011-2012 season with the Sporting Lisbon team, being able to achieve many important victories with him, which enabled him to reach the semi-finals of the European League.

Sabinto had several experiences as a coach with Serbian, Greek and Belgian clubs, coaching Standard du Liège and winning the Belgian Cup.

Ricardo’s experiences extended to the Turkish league, with his training for the Gaziantep club, before that the Brazilian club, with Vasco da Gama club, and finally, the Iranian club Esteghlal Tehran and the Cypriot club Apoel.

The Portuguese coach who joined Raja is distinguished by his strong personality and his desire to impose his ideas, in addition to discipline and respect for his instructions without any biases, according to what was unanimously agreed upon by those who worked with him. He is also considered one of the coaches who loves attacking play and comprehensive football.
