The government official highlighted that the new statute for employees of the Ministry in charge of National Education is an important step in the process of valuing and motivating female and male employees in this sector, in accordance with the principles of equality, fairness and entitlement. This is in order to value the roles of female and male professors to make them proficient in their profession, gain the necessary appreciation, motivated, and fully committed to the success of female and male students.

He stressed that the Ministry is working to implement a group of initiatives, programs and projects, in order to achieve a profound transformation in the roles of male and female teachers, including investing in training and enhancing the attractiveness of the profession. This is done through restructuring basic training courses and reviewing and improving the programs and curricula associated with it, in addition to improving continuous training because of its impact on renewing and refining professional competencies and developing practices within classrooms that have a tangible impact on male and female learners.

The same minister said, “The fundamental role played by male and female professors within the educational system requires them to keep pace with and adapt to societal and cultural transformations and rapid scientific development, to anticipate the challenges and transformations associated with the teaching profession.
