I watched a clip on WhatsApp of colleague Abdul-Ilah Al-Askar conducting an interview with one of the guests to promote a product that treats knee pain. I was surprised by the clip, as the dear colleague left presenting television talk shows a long time ago, and the topic is not consistent with the type of topics discussed in his previous program!
I contacted him, realizing that it was a fabricated clip, and jokingly asked him to reserve two boxes of the strange product for me. He replied, laughing, that the clip was entirely designed by artificial intelligence, which gave his friends an opportunity to joke and joke. However, it is an indication of the danger of exploiting advanced digital technology in designing, fabricating, and installing video clips and audible sounds!
It has become necessary to stop at every unusual or suspicious video or audio clip to ensure its credibility before issuing judgments and criticizing the content or people in it, so we should not rush to make mistrust before verifying the authenticity of these clips!
In the military clip, a product is promoted that may be harmful to health, and in other clips some may resort to attaching deviant social or hostile political positions and opinions to people for the purpose of embarrassing them before society, the security authorities, and the judicial authorities!
The use of artificial intelligence in designing and installing imitation scenes and sounds has become popular. Some people do it with the aim of flirting with their friends, and some do it for criminal and malicious reasons targeting people’s reputations and destabilizing societies. It is important for society to have sufficient awareness to anticipate everything with the advancement of technology before passing judgment and believing everything.
