On Sunday, MBC revealed the date of the first episode of the Turkish series “Genius,” starring Aras Bulut.
The channel stated, in a post on its Instagram account, that next Sunday, October 6, will witness the start of the show’s work on its screen.
The story of the “Genius” series revolves around Devran’s father, Iskander, discovering at an early age that his son, Devran, is a genius in mathematics. During the events, he has a love story with “Asma”, whom he has known in the neighborhood since childhood.
The series is scheduled to include a mixture of family stories, conflict, love, drama and mafia.
The work is written by Damla Serem, directed by Umut Aral, and produced by Qamar Ay Yapım Art Production Company.
Sudden change
The filming phase witnessed a sudden change in the Turkish star Devrim Ozkan, who was scheduled to play the role of Asma, Devran’s lover.
Coinciding with the start of the filming process on July 29, Devrim left work and unfollowed the Turkish Al Qamar Production Company’s Instagram account, after the production company assigned the role of the heroine “Asmaa” to Ahsin Eroglu.
According to what was published by Turkish media, “Devrim” rejected the amendments made by the company producing the work and the course of the episodes, and preferred to leave.
