Egypt seeks second win
The Egyptian national team, led by Liverpool’s top scorer Mohamed Salah, seeks to win and reach the sixth point after defeating Cape Verde in the first round in Cairo 3-0.
Coach Hossam Hassan’s team gave a strong and consistent performance, especially in the first half. Hassan commented on his team’s victory, “The national team players took responsibility and deserved the big win.”
He added, “The match was very difficult because it was at the beginning of the season for professionals, and the local season had not started in Egypt.”
Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed may miss the match due to a muscle injury.
Cape Verde will also host Mauritania on Tuesday in Praia.
