Heavy rainfall in a number of southeastern regions has led to the closure of many roads, especially in the regions of Tinghir and Ouarzazate, which has led to the isolation of a number of areas.

According to available data, traffic has stopped on National Road No. 10 linking Ouarzazate and Errachidia, due to the flow of torrents of ravines at the level of the “Khamis Dades” community near the M’gouna fortress.

National reports indicated that National Road No. 9 between Marrakech and Ouarzazate was cut off due to heavy rains caused by floods in the city center of Ouarzazate, as well as the Ait Zineb community and the communities adjacent to the Tichka Pass.

Many activists have posted videos on social media platforms documenting the heavy rainfall that occurred in various areas of the southeastern regions, including the communities of Talmi and Imsemrir in Tinghir province, and the town of Akdez in Zagora province.

Videos circulating on Facebook showed floods and torrential rains that followed the heavy rains in the city of Ouarzazate, where the water flooded a group of houses in several neighborhoods and caused the collapse of mud houses without recording any human losses.
