COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – We are tracking some light rain working into the Midlands this evening and will continue overnight then drier conditions arrive for the weekend but mainly cloudy skies will linger.

Moisture is building into South Carolina this evening and will eventually lead to some scattered light showers throughout the Midlands.
Thus, it might be a good idea to take the umbrella or a rain jacket if you are heading out to watch high school football tonight.
The best chance for rain will be during the overnight hours and should be wrapping up by the time we wake up Saturday morning.
For the rest of the weekend we will be sandwiched between 2 systems leading to mainly cloudy skies with cool temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
Next week high pressure will build over the region from the North leading to sunshine and pleasant temperatures in the lower 80s.
