(WALA) – Rain is likely for the Gulf Coast tonight with more showers possible this weekend. Rain chances will be at 80% overnight with the heavy rain confined mainly to the coast. It’s a good night to download our free FOX10Weather app so you can keep the weather forecast with you wherever you go.
Expect to see showers especially closer to the coast throughout the day Saturday with highs only in the upper 70s.
The heat will continue to be out of the forecast over the next seven days.
The primary issue will be rain chances for the Gulf Coast. Rain chances will to drop to 30% on Sunday with a high in the low 80s. We do expect an increase in showers and storms as we had to next week.
In the tropics the one area we really have to watch is a wave over the Yucatan which has a medium chance of developing once it hits the southwest Gulf of Mexico next week. Odds are development are at 40% and we especially need to watch out for areas on the Texas and Louisiana coast.
