The socialist president of the Occitanie region reacts in “Libération” to the nomination of the former European Commissioner to the post of Prime Minister. A decision that goes against the ballot box and confirms that the President of the Republic continues to rely on the RN to keep power.

Enough! This is what we hear every day from French people, worried, disoriented, and especially angry, in the face of the sad political game they have been watching as horrified spectators since this hasty dissolution, which has plunged the country to the brink of chaos. Behind the indigestible farce of rumors, slamming doors, names being bandied about, and finally a surprise nomination announced today, in a few lines, there is a reality that no political leader can escape: the will of the French. The fog cleverly maintained by the President of the Republic serves only one purpose: to dispel the will for change that was expressed in the majority during the legislative elections, in order to try “at the same time” to maintain this liberal, solitary, central and vertical power that has done so much harm to the country.
