More fear than harm for the residents of a retirement home in the town of Cuing in Haute-Garonne. They had to be placed in safety on the evening of Wednesday, December 25 due to a fire breaking out in a room. Two people suffered slight smoke intoxication.

The residents of the Horizons retirement home, located in the village of Cuing in Haute-Garonne, will not soon forget this Christmas night. They were awakened in the evening by a fire in one of the bedrooms.

The alert was given around 10:30 p.m. A fire has just been reported on the first floor, in the room of one of the residents of this nursing home, located in the town of Le Cuing, northwest of Saint-Gaudens in Haute-Garonne.

Very quickly on site, the firefighters proceeded to bring the elderly to safety, with the support of the staff of the retirement home. The fire was quickly brought under control. Only two people were slightly inconvenienced by the fumes, but they did not require hospitalization.

This rescue operation mobilized around twenty firefighters. We do not yet know the origin of the disaster.
