“He was generous, funny, kind and made the world a better place. The world is a little less pleasant without him here. But he is a little more pleasant in paradise,” said director Daphna Kastner, close to the artist.

A trained oboist and drummer, the New York native has worked with a wide range of artists during his career and is behind many hits in the 1970s. He has collaborated with many musical figures such as Art Garfunkel, Barbra Streisand or even Ringo Starr.
In 1973, Richard Perry released the album Ringo, his third studio album which reached number two on the Billboard and sold over a million copies. The artist has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards and received a Grammy Trustees Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2015.
“Richard had a gift for matching the right song to the right artist,” Barbra Streisand wrote in her 2023 memoir My name is Barbra.
Richard Perry is also famous for having been in a relationship with actress Jane Fonda, from 2009 to 2017.
