A national award for a real estate development project near Orléans. This involves transforming a large complex, including a chapel, into housing. It is located in Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle, between the Parc des Dominicaines and the town hall.
It was the Sully Immobilier development company which received this award on December 18. 442 projects were candidates for the 21st Golden Pyramids ceremony, organized by the Federation of Real Estate Developers (FPI) in Paris. The Orléans company is one of the eight winners, in the renovation, extension, rehabilitation category, thanks to the l'Intemporel project, with the architectural firm Synthesis group.
Sully real estate officials presented the project to residents at the end of November. The work, which has not yet started, should be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026. The marketing of the 87 apartments, from T1 to T4, has however started, from 135,700 euros to 349,200 euros.
The site, a former Dominican convent built in 1922, has been occupied since 1970 by the Val de Loire Foundation, which left it five years ago. The buildings had since been abandoned.
The building which houses the cloister will be preserved, while the one located in its extension, as well as the surrounding wall, will be deconstructed. Two new buildings will see the light of day under which a two-level car park will be constructed. The chapel will be renovated and the wooded area of 7,500 square meters, classified, will be enhanced.
The operation will be carried out in favor of the circular economy, by identifying and listing materials that can be reused.
