A 45-year-old woman has been between life and death since last night. According to the first elements collected on site, her partner, also aged 45, shot her with a gun in the family house, in Viarmes, before turning the weapon against himself and killing himself.
The alert was given a little before midnight by one of the couple's three children, an adult. When emergency services arrived, they found the wife seriously injured. The firefighters and the Samu medical team provided him with first aid on site. Once her state of health was stabilized, the wife was transported in absolute emergency to Bichat hospital in Paris. She is in intensive care this morning after undergoing surgery.

The gendarmes from the Viarmes brigade, who also went immediately to the scene, noted the presence of the body of the husband who killed himself after shooting his wife. The first investigations are underway to determine the precise circumstances of the tragedy.
The residents of rue de la Mardelle, at the end of which the couple lived, in a large isolated house, were interviewed by the gendarmes during their neighborhood investigation. Residents interviewed indicated this Friday morning that they did not hear the gunshots, while indicating that they did not encounter any difficulty with the couple they knew to meet them in the town.
According to initial information, the gendarmes were not aware of any history concerning the couple, in particular regarding possible intra-family violence. The three children were there at the time of the incident.
