The last match of the year, against Villeneuve-sur-Lot, this Saturday, December 21, promises to be crucial for the Lézignanais.
The FCL meets this Saturday December 21at 4 p.m., at the Moulin stadium the Villeneuve-sur-Lot team: a match already decisive for qualification for the final stages of this Super XIII.
“We have almost burned out all our jokers. Facing us, there will be a great team from Villeneuve who are rediscovering their ambitions thanks to good young people and successful foreigners. The game is not won”warns Anthony Ors, the Lézignan captain.
He also calls on supporters to come and encourage the “green and white” for this decisive confrontation: “We need their support. Mentally, it's a difficult time: we lost several games on details, and the coin is not falling the right way this season”adds the player, saddened by the team's current situation. “It’s the little details that make the difference. We are a young team and sometimes we lack a little experience”analyzes the Meuniers captain.
In a tight championship where several teams can claim qualifying places, all is not lost. However, the FCL no longer has the right to make mistakes.
The U19s neck and neck
In the opening match, the U19 team will face their Lot-et-Garonnais counterparts at the Moulin stadium. Neck and neck in the rankings, the Lézignanais can hope, in the event of victory, to slip into the qualifying places.
“We are disappointed because, last week, despite everything, we could have won this match. But we have to stay positive for the future”comments the coach, Alexandre Lacans.
The Lézignan juniors are preparing to face a Villeneuvoise team which alternates between the good and the less good: “It’s a fairly unpredictable team. For our part, we try to play an open game and look for spaces to take advantage of the speed of our players”adds the technician.
For this meeting, the “green and white” U19s will be deprived of Luka Lemaitre, injured in the ankle.
Pay attention to the schedules!
Today's matches at the Moulin stadium will be played an hour earlier. See you at 2 p.m. for the U19 match and at 4 p.m. for the Super XIII match.
The first team meeting will be broadcast live on the channel Youtube from the club, with the duo Alain Revello – Olivier Estebanez on the microphone.
