Would you like to take a quick assessment? There’s no escaping it as the end of 2024 approaches. This time, it is an opportunity to look at the countries of the world where health in the broad sense is the best, or the worst. The data comes fromOuramanufacturer ofconnected rings long before Samsung gets started with his Galaxy Ring. The brand analyzed the information collected in countries where at least 2,000 people are Oura subscribers, since it works on a system of formulas to subscribe.

In total, 4 criteria were retained: the average number of steps per daythe quality of sleepl’cardiovascular age and the stress level. The big winners change depending on the category.

Ireland is the country where people walk the mostwith 10,079 steps daily. It is closely followed by Estonia (9,961), the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland (9,925), Sweden (9,894) and the Czech Republic (9,868). Note that all of these countries are located in Europe, where the walking culture is more important than elsewhere, particularly in the car-centric United States.

The Nordic countries dominate the ranking of cardiovascular age. Sweden takes first place with a heart 2.63 years younger than actual age. In 2nd position, Norway (2.46). The gaps are generally small: Netherlands in 3rd (2.42) then Switzerland (2.37) and Denmark (2.35).

Here is who is the most stressed country in 2024 according to Oura

Finally, the United States wins the prize for the most stressed country. On average, its inhabitants suffer 105 minutes of stress every day. Norway comes next, followed by the Netherlands, Canada and Estonia. Note that Oura measures both psychological and physical stress. Exercising is one form of it, in other words it’s not necessarily a bad thing.

We also learn more about the most stressful days of the weekall countries combined. Sunday is when people are most relaxed. Despite the prospect of returning to work the next day, they are visibly able to devote it to relaxation and rest.

As for the day when Oura ring users report the most stress, it is Friday. Here again, this is probably due to the fact that many take advantage of the arrival of the weekend to embark on a sports session. Or we must put it down to outings with friends, possible sources of physiological stress, but positive this one.

And the in all this? It does not appear in any of the categories mentioned. Either France does not meet the selection criteria to enter the study, or it is located in the “soft underbelly” of the ranking, between 8th and 6th place for example. In the latter case, perhaps the good resolutions of 2025 will allow him to finish among the first next year.
