The Christmas period is synonymous with gifts. Intermarché is doing one for motorists, by putting fuel at cost price in many of its stations, linked to supermarkets. This only on December 20 and 21, in stores participating in the operation, the list of which is available here. Please note that this is only done during store opening hours.
A way to celebrate Christmas as it should be by making no margin on fuel prices over these two days. This will have the effect of slightly lowering prices at the pump, both for diesel and for gasoline, for drivers.
Solo intermarché on cost price
In the meantime, Intermarché is the only one to sell fuel at cost price at present. While fuel prices sometimes tend to rise again, only TotalEnergies always organizes an operation linked to fuels. But the point is not to sell fuel above €1.99/L.
Which, let’s be honest, is of very limited interest at the moment, prices being below this bar. Diesel thus appears on average around €1.64/L, SP95-E10 at €1.71/L, according to our partner Carbu.com. Far from €1.99/L.
The start of the school holidays
This is also well placed, because December 20 and 21 also mean the start of the Christmas holidays for schools. Many families will therefore be hitting the road in the days to come. Traffic will also be affected, as Bison Futé warned, expecting traffic difficulties throughout France.
Also pay attention to the weather when going on vacation. The weekend promises to be eventful in this regard, in certain places in France. Rain, strong winds and snow are on the menu. With increasing intensity as the weekend progressed. Caution is therefore advised on the roads.

To summarize
Fuel at cost price, were you waiting for it? It is back in this large, very popular brand this Christmas time. A way to save a few euros on refueling. But be careful, the offer won’t last long.
