The Agency season 5: exceptional goods sold all over the world by the Kretz family
Halfway between documentary and reality TV, The Agency has understood, for a long time, that its main asset was not its luxurious homes, but its siblings of four boys (Martin, Valentin, Louis and Raphaël) full of ambition. In fact, over the seasons, the reality TV part has sometimes taken precedence over real estate. We thus witness large family reunions, surprise birthdays, but also Sunday meals or even arguments between the two eldest children or between the father, Olivier, and his sons. Sandrine, the mother calms things down and the grandmother, Majo, brings together all the members of the clan around her.
How much money do the Kretzes earn from each property sold in The Agency ?
Valentin in New York, Louis in Barcelona or even parents Olivier and Sandrine in Brazil… The Kretzes are setting off to conquer the world to develop the Agency. And there is no shortage of opportunities to sell goods. Displayed in euros, the amounts of the luxurious properties offered by the Kretz align the zeros. If the prices “agency fees included” seem exorbitant How much does the family really earn on each sale? How much commission does the family receive? Martin Kretz told us in 2022: “Compared to the amount of transactions we are very small.” “We indicate this on our sales sheets. We earn 3% on the total amount of a transaction. Part goes to the agent who sold the property and part goes to The Agency. Ensuite, between us we share everything.”
The Agency : the Kretz family commission can go up to 7%!
More recently in 2023, Martin, still himself, confided to the Echoes : “Our commission is a percentage of the sale price. It is of the order of 4% in general. To give a broad range, it goes from 2.5, 3% to 7%, even 10% in Monaco.” But that has changed a little! In December 2024, the Kretz family website indicates that it charges fees ranging from 5% for an apartment, a house or a private hotel located in Paris and Île-de-France to 6% for a property outside Paris and from the Paris region and up to 7% for castles and manors. On a property estimated at 10 million euros, the Kretzes pocketed between 500,000 and 700,000 € for the sale. Now you will know why each gong sound causes such joy among the Kretz!
