Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Wednesday that Lock has recovered and will get the start for the Giants (2-12), who will try to snap their losing streak to nine — tied with their franchise record .
The Giants have been alternating between their quarterbacks since they benched Daniel Jones before releasing him after returning from a bye week.
For their part, the Falcons (7-7) have indicated that they will entrust the start to rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who will replace Kirk Cousins.
The Georgia team also placed the name of kicker Younghoe Koo on the injured list and signed a contract with his colleague Riley Patterson, who was part of the practice team of the Cleveland Browns.
Koo has been affected by a right hip injury since the start of the season, but the Falcons have refused to indicate whether this injury will force him through the rest of the regular season.
Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said Tuesday, after Monday night’s 15-9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, that Koo “kind of hurt himself.”
The Falcons have released kicker Tanner Brown from their practice squad.
