Investigations already had strong clues against the suspects via wiretapping but this image from Google Maps was decisive. The photo, which has since gone viral on social networks with several million views, shows one of them placing a large bag in the trunk of a red car. Or the possible corpse of the murdered man.
Faced with the virality of this photo, Google Maps blurred it in the afternoon of December 18. Obviously, this extraordinary affair aroused the amazement of Internet users. One of them is surprised that an image made it possible to arrest a murderer. The proof was there, on the servers of the Mountain View firm.
All the details of the affair have not been communicated but the story is obviously amusing. Google Maps was designed to allow users to virtually navigate the streets of the world. But during the course of an investigation, Street View transformed into a criminal investigation tool.
