Incredible but true, a murder was solved thanks to Google Street View. You may have already seen these cars equipped with cameras, responsible for photographing the streets around the world to then allow an address to be viewed on the internet. Almost nothing escapes them, not even very small towns. In Spain, it was a photo in Tajueco, 56 inhabitants, which made it possible to identify a suspect.
It all starts in November 2023. Cuban man goes missing in the region of Castile and Leon, in northern Spain. An investigation was launched by the Spanish police but it was impossible to find him. In October 2024, the affair took a completely different turn. The Google car passes through this small village of Tajueco, 200km from Madrid. It was there that she captured an uplifting image.
We see in a small alley a man loading what appears to be a body surrounded by sheets into the trunk of his red car. The police, while browsing the Google Street View application, spotted this image a few days ago. They recognized, in the back of this car, the person they already suspected: the lover of the missing man’s wife. He had already been arrested a month before, at the same time as the missing man’s wife, suspected of complicity.
This is an extremely important discovery to complete the investigation. Part of the victim’s body was also found Tuesday December 17. The image is still accessible today on the Google Street View application.
