« Movies like Mary Poppins or Victor Victoria marked me, as a child, and made me want to sing, to dance, to exist on a stage. But I didn’t allow myself to dream about it yet, because I led a fairly quiet life in Biarritz. »
Léonie Dahan-Lamort evokes her first emotions in cinema as clearly as she leads her career today. Arriving in Paris at 15, she starred in a short film, then in the series Such great sunshine. Next comes Everything is gone by Sébastien Betbeder. « Exactly the kind of political and unclassifiable comedy that I want to make. I spent three weeks with vomit on my head, it was awesome. »
In 2024, Léonie plays the heroine of The Bite, vampire film by Romain de Saint-Blanquat where she shines as a high school student from the 1960s. The Pampas, heartbreaking drama by Antoine Chevrollier, presented at Cannes in 2024, is released in February. « I came to the film with lots of little notes, and we reworked the role together, Antoine and I. He was great at listening. »

Léonie has also just filmed two series with an offbeat tone, Deadline et Sinners. Before confiding this dream to us: “If Gregg Araki calls me tomorrow about a movie about wandering teenagers, I’ll say yes. »
