This could not have happened at a worse time, a few days before Christmas Eve, the delicatessen “Chez Laurette” located at 6 rue de la sous-préfecture, in the town center of Dole, was the victim of a fire. The disaster broke out yesterday, Tuesday December 17, around 11 p.m.
“Rescue quickly arrived on the scene” explains Cédric Baudot, manager of this store which opened 3 years ago. “The fire started at my office and would be of electrical origin » he indicates.
Fortunately the fire was limited to the ground floor and did not reach the accommodations above.
A hard blow just before the holidays
In December, Cédric Baudot was currently experiencing his strongest period of the year for his turnover.
“Last week I worked like a sick and we were arriving on the home stretch” testifies the trader who would have done without such a mishap.
“I will have to close for several weeks and I won’t be able to recover anything from my stocks…”
However, he preferred to ironize “So I would have more time to prepare toast with my brother for New Year’s Eve. »
