December 17 was marked by the death of a cult actress of Spanish and international cinema. Marisa Paredes dies at the age of 78 following a heart problem as announced by the Spanish Film Academy. A disappearance which shakes up the world of cinema, and in particular the director Pedro Almodóvar with whom she had appeared in several films such as Stiletto heels, All about my mother or even Talk to her. The latter was just invited in C à vous, alongside actress Julianne Moore, this December 17. The duo is in full promotion of the filmmaker’s latest feature film, The next roomor The room next doorin which Julianne Moore plays opposite Tilda Swinton. Pedro Almodóvar has therefore had to express himself on the death of Marisa Peredes who appears in six of his films. “Today is a very sad day because of Marisa’s passing. And to be honest, I didn’t know if I was going to be able to do this show with you after hearing this news” began by confiding the director.
