The woman suspected of having killed her neighbor in Drôme is indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention

The woman suspected of having killed her neighbor on Sunday December 15 in Saint-Vallier (Drôme) was indicted for murder and placed in pre-trial detention, Bleu Drôme Ardèche reported on Tuesday.

The events took place on Sunday morning. The victim, aged 21 and known to the courts, received one or more stab wounds in an apartment in the Liora district of Saint-Vallier. His neighbor downstairs, aged around twenty, is suspected of being the author of the fatal blows. According to the gendarmes and the mayor of the town, this woman intervened between her neighbors during a couple’s argument, before it escalated.

The Valencia public prosecutor’s office first opened an investigation for murder, the suspect having arrived in her neighbors’ apartment armed with a knife. The prosecution finally reclassified the facts during the opening of the judicial investigation on Tuesday. The young woman was indicted for intentional homicide and placed in pre-trial detention.

The partner of the murdered young man was taken care of by an association helping victims of domestic violence.
