POLICE INVESTIGATION FOLLOWING THE DISCOVERY OF A BODY
Quebec police are continuing an investigation this morning following the discovery of a woman’s body yesterday morning in a home in a building on Boulevard Louis-XIV and Rue Astrid.
According to the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) yesterday, around 9:12 a.m., SPVQ police officers were called to go to a home on Boulevard Louis-XIV in the Charlesbourg sector to assist the ambulance crew.
A 45-year-old lady died there.
The police noted the death and the coroner requested an inquest.
Police officers were still on site this morning to protect the scene. Experts and investigators are expected to return to the scene.
Investigators as well as technicians from the Forensic Identification Unit went to the scene to shed light on this death which is considered a suspicious death.
This morning, the investigation continues and a command post has been deployed on Édith Street near Astrid Street.
The SPVQ asks anyone who has information regarding this suspicious death to come and meet investigators.
