According to what TVA Sports channel journalist Renaud Lavoie reported, the CEO traveled to Russia to attend the duel between SKA Saint Petersburg and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.
Vincent Lecavalier, special advisor for hockey operations at CH, was also in the stands. It was filmed by the cameras of the television network which broadcast the confrontation.
Considered the best hope of Sainte-Flanelle, Demidov is rarely used by his coach with SKA. The 19-year-old winger has still amassed six goals and 14 assists for 20 points in 33 games so far in 2024-2025. In front of the Habs leaders, Demidov spent almost 11 minutes on the ice surface. This made him the third least used skater on his team. He wasn’t able to put up any points in SKA’s 3-2 loss, but he did make three shots on goal.
CH selected the talented Russian with the fifth overall pick in the last National League draft.
