While it was only available in early access, Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle welcomed its very first update, including various fixes and the implementation of path tracing on PC for compatible NVIDIA graphics cards. Today, MachineGames just rolled out the second update, fixing various issues, including global lighting on Xbox, making the game look better.
List of new features and fixes for the second update of Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle
General
- Fix to prevent game slot from being reported as damaged or appearing to disappear, when no actual problem has occurred.
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented players from equipping Indy’s Whip.
- Fixed an issue forcing the player to keep Indy’s camera equipped at all times.
- Fixed an issue causing the camera to sometimes be dropped and lost when players use the Quick Equip (“Key Item”) prompt to equip their camera while examining another collectable item nearby.
Graphics
- Fix to prevent permanent “double vision” on screen when Indy is about to drown. If you’ve encountered this problem before, restart the sequence where Indy is about to drown to resolve the issue.
- Additional improvements to reduce stuttering caused by frame duplication during cutscenes.
Missions and Quests – Warning, this section contains minor spoilers
- Fixed an issue causing Gina to not approach the secret entrance to the Vatican Treasure Room, blocking the mission.
- Fixed an issue sometimes sending Gina to pick the lock to exit the Vatican Treasure Room as soon as you enter it, which could cause you to miss crucial plot information.
- Fixed a collision issue where a large hole in the ground on the edge of the wall around Sukhothai Ziggurat could swallow players.
PC version fixes
- Fixed occasional performance issues caused by enabling NVIDIA DLSS.
- Fixed an issue that prevented NVIDIA image generation from being enabled correctly when using HDR.
- Fixed occasional performance issues caused by NVIDIA Low Latency mode when used with image generation.
- Fixed an issue that sometimes caused global lighting to be completely disabled with graphics cards with video memory below the minimum values.
- Fixed an issue that caused lighting to become brighter in indoor spaces if you set the path tracing quality (full ray tracing) to medium or high.
- Known issue: NVIDIA image generation may be temporarily disabled when HDR is enabled for the first time. To resolve this issue, disable and then re-enable DLSS. You will only have to do this once.
Xbox version fixes
- Improvements to global lighting on Xbox to prevent shadowed areas from appearing more illuminated than expected.

Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC, as well as Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. It will debut on PlayStation 5 sometime in spring 2025.
