Vendée Globe 2024. What is the village plan?

The Vendée Globe village opens its doors on Saturday October 19, 2024, and will be, until November 10, the beating heart of the event. But before entering this temple of sailing, it is better to prepare well to make your stay easier.

Three different entrances provide access to the village, named Cape Horn, Cape Leeuwin and Cape of Good Hope. The Cap Horn entrance is located near the Boulevard du Souvenir-Français, the Cap Leeuwin entrance overlooks the Quai Amiral-de-la-Gravière and the Cap de Bonne Espérance entrance allows access from the Boulevard de l’ Vertime Island.

Please note that bicycle parking spaces are located near the Cape Leeuwin and Cape of Good Hope entrances, in line with the organizers’ logic of encouraging access by soft mobility. Be careful, however, of the various access restrictions to the village.

Which areas are accessible?

Although certain areas are subject to accreditation, most of the village will be accessible to the general public, who will find numerous partner stands as well as food trucks for on-the-go meals. The main attraction of the village is of course the pontoon where the skippers’ boats are moored. The distribution of the Imoca around the pontoon is already known.

To make the task easier, an interactive version of the plan is available at the following address: www.vendeeglobe.org/plan-village.
