The France Ukraine Lomagne Gersoise Association has decided to help children and parents in distress, due to the very worrying economic situation in Ukraine, by setting up a sponsorship program.
For more than two years, the repercussions of the war in Ukraine have intensified this fragility, restricting their access to the resources necessary to meet their basic needs.
Many children have been deprived of their parents due to hostilities, causing significant psychological trauma. They often have to overcome the grief of losing loved ones while navigating an unstable environment.
Civilian infrastructure, such as schools and hospitals, suffered considerable damage or were completely destroyed. Orphaned children find themselves in a situation of increased danger facing risks of exploitation, including human trafficking and sexual exploitation. They require protective measures as well as psychosocial support.
Sponsorship is an essential initiative to provide aid and support to victims of the war in Ukraine. Godparents provide financial assistance to cover the basic needs of weak people, such as food, clothing, school supplies and medical care.
