In an isolated house, Grace (played by Nicole Kidman) lives with her two children, both of whom have a strange sensitivity to light. The arrival of three servants causes disturbing phenomena to appear in the house. Little by little, Grace discovers that her home is haunted by spirits, revealing a terrifying secret that shakes the whole family.

Young Cole Sear sees dead people who don’t know they’re dead. His psychologist, Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis), tries to understand his gift and help him free himself from it.
