Haute-. A woman dies when hit by a tractor driven by her son near Saugues

A tragedy took place at a place called Servières, in Saugues, Monday 20 January around 9h40, within a farm.

A woman, aged 70, was behind a tractor while feeding animals in an enclosure. His son, aged 40, was on board the machine when it reversed.

In cardiorespiratory arrest when help arrives

The septuagenarian, who was behind, was knocked down. When emergency services arrived, particularly the helicopter, the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, including Samu 43, she died on the spot as a result of her injuries.

An autopsy must be performed in the coming days.

The victim's son ended his life

According to our information and several corroborating sources, the victim's son ended his life a few hours after the tragedy.

This tragedy once again puts the town of Saugues into mourning. In June 2024, a 17-year-old boy died in a tractor accident on the D32.
